The House originates from around 1885 and was originally the elegant home of Sir Tharia Topan, a Minister to Sultan Said Bargash. Within its old and unique architecture the hotel has eight individually designed rooms. Each and everyone of them furnished with traditional Zanzibar four-poster beds with lavish mosquito nets, rare lamps, antique furniture and unusual details. All rooms are fitted with air-condition.
Moccachino (Standard Room En Suite) has twin beds. The room itself and the adjoining en suite bathroom are filled with numerous yellows and golds.
Flat was a lot smaller than it looked on the pictures. There was NO internet available. Construction on every side. Very loud, very hot inside. Television didn't work. Great location, but not worth the price they're asking.
