This was a wonderful experience using Roomorama to book this apartment. During the entire pre-booking process Mine was very communicative with me working out any details I had concerns with. Her apartment was just as advertised and had a spectacular view of the 911 memorial and the Freedom Tower (1 World Trade) building. Thee was easy access to the subway system which made getting around all of Manhattan very simple. A few blocks to the south of the apartment you could walk around Battery Park and get a good look at the Statue of Liberty. Check in and check out were all very simple and handled professionally. I loved the fact that there were 24 hour doormen in the building at all times. It definitely made life easier when you had questions. I will definitely use Roomorama again and definitely recommend this apartment.

Mine is lovely and this is a very nice unit facing north with a bird's eye view of the new Freedom Tower going up. I was quite comfortable, but note that it is a 1 bedroom without privacy, so it is really for 1 or 2 people. I would stay here again.

We decided to stay in this apartment despite the recently posted negative feedback, and was very happy about it. We, as a young couple, found the host very friendly and helpful by all means. Our check-in and check-out was very smooth. Thus we couldn't understand why on earth this place and the lovely host had a negative feedback. Location wise the place is perfect, you can even seen the very recently opened 9/11 Memorial from the top. It's close to bunch of useful subway lines, so practically you can go to everywhere in NY from here. You can catch the red, yellow and even green lines very easily. Most importantly it's very close to Century 21 which is the super discount outlet where you can find a lot of good bargains. Apartment was clean when we checked-in and it's in a very well managed building. The doormen were very polite and helpful. We're very happy with our host (Mine) as well, since she is a lovely and energetic person. She was always available for us whenever we try to reach her from the booking to the last minute of the check-out. Most importantly she is reliable and follows the roomorama rules. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and definitely would chose Mine's apartment again when we are up to visit NYC.

Minet was very nice! She is generous and available. As for the appartment, it is very safe, clean and quiet. Also, there is a subway (actually, two main lines) really close from it. I strongly recommend to rent her appartment, you won't regret it. Thank you for a great vacation!

This was a trip that I was looking forward to and unfortunately was quickly ruined by the host Mine and her daughter Basak. I have traveled the world and to New York many times and never has my experience been this horrible. Not only was I horrified by the way I was treated but my friend that was traveling to New York for the first time doesn’t want to ever go back. It broke my heart to hear and see this event unfold. During my stay, I was verbally attacked by the host and her daughter. The daughter repeatedly called me and texted me for the first three days of my stay stating that I would have to leave by 6pm and my belongings along with those of my friend staying with me, would be on the street. I was horrified of the things that Basak was screaming over the phone and texting me. I was scared to leave the apartment in fear that when I got back my personal belongings would be on the street and unfortunately that’s just the beginning. At first glance the apartment looked nice, it does have nice views of the world trade center area and the Hudson River, those were my thoughts when I first walked in at 4AM after flying 6 hours. After getting some sleep with some uninvited guests (bed bugs) I was able to further inspect the apartment... -The kitchen looked clean but when I went to use the oven it was so dirty that smoke started coming out. Apparently it was NOT clean and crumbs or some oily residue was there from the last person that used it, when that was...I don’t know. I was shocked because the host stated in her e-mails to me that this apartment was like a 5 star hotel. I have stayed in many 5-star hotels and have never seen that, sadly that was just the tip of the dirt. All the dishes, cups, glasses, forks, pans, pots, etc., had food on them, were greasy, and had LIPSTICK stains on them. I had to wash everything before I used it! As for the microwave, oh gosh there was tomato sauce, some greenish sauce and brown spots in there after seeing that I didn’t want to bother using it. -The bathroom was somewhat clean from what I could see. The mirrors and floor were a little dirty and there was no toilet paper, but I brought my own so it was ok. -The "master bedroom". After finding the bed bugs (3) I found it so hard to get any peaceful sleep, on top of the threats from Basak (the host’s daughter). I brought my own pillows and sheets, SO glad I did that! There were blood stains among other stains on the sheets and pillows. That is really disgusting and unsanitary. Overall the apartment was very dusty with dust bunnies everywhere (other uninvited guests), floors where sticky (I don’t want to know why), there were also a lot of feathers which I think were from the pillows but that’s still a mystery, kitchen was not clean at all and my stay in this apartment was the worst. I would defiantly save myself the trouble and book elsewhere, this place is just too much work and the host or both of them were extremely rude and disrespectful, slightly bipolar and passive aggressive.
