HUGE, spacious 2 bedroom duplex loft apartment with outdoor roof deck patio in the East Village that sleeps up to 6 people very comfortably!


Subway is 2 minute walk / 2 blocks.

**EASTER 2015 (Sunday, April 5) - CHECK IN must be on or before WED, APRIL 1st and minimum stay of 6 nights.


SUMMER 2015 - NO CHECK IN on Saturday or Sunday during Summer months (May 15 - Sept 15).


This is a 2 BEDROOM spacious, modern, luxury apartment and personally decorated by me on a quiet street, across the street from a school in the East Village!


This posting is for use of my apartment with 2 private bedrooms (can sleep 6 adults maximum), 1 full bathroom with tub, fully stocked kitchen, living room, closets, all in an elevator building and best of all, A ROOFTOP TERRACE with lounge chairs, dining table + umbrella, with a great view of the Empire State Building.


This entire apartment can sleep 6 comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds, the sofa is a fold-out flat queen bed and I have a raised air bed (queen) along with all the blankets, pillows, etc..


Surely, you will experience living in a fantastic apartment in NYC while saving a few bucks from pricey NYC hotels that are located in the heart of the tourist frenzy areas in midtown. It's very clean and has things no hotel can offer.


This is available for rentals of 3 nights or more. However, if you are seeking a stay only 1 or 2 nights, it is possible to do so, if it precedes or adds to an existing reservation, OR, is within 7 days of the reservation and is available.


PRICING (excluding fees) for 6 people or less:
$ 420 / night Sun - Thurs
$ 450 / night Fri + Sat
$ 400 / night for stays 7 or more nights.


The price you see for your inquiry includes everything:

Again, BEFORE you attempt to book it, please send a message to inquire about availability and provide a little info on your group (age group, singles/couples/kids, etc.). If you have no verifications in your profile, please include a little information about yourselves (occupations, age group, pretty much anything YOU would like to know if you were having guests IN YOUR HOME, thanks)!


Lastly, this is NOT a hotel! Daily maid services are not included. This is for use of a furnished apartment (bungalow) rental and loud noise will not be tolerated as there are full time tenants/neighbors that work normal business hours and my neighbors peace cannot and will not be disrupted. If you're a group of drinkers/clubbers who will be out late and/or loud, please do NOT inquire. Thank you very much.


Guest Access


Use of entire 2 bedroom duplex apartment, full kitchen, large living room, full bathroom and closets and the roof top terrace / patio!


Interaction with Guests


I meet all guests upon arrival at check in to give you info on the apartment / building / neighborhood and answer any questions you may have. I'll also come meet you at check out.


I'm always happy to have a cocktail at a local establishment and give a little walk around the area to point things out or see live music.


The Neighborhood


The highly desired EAST VILLAGE neighborhood is quite lively after the sun goes down. The East Village has been heavily built up over the last 5-10 years and located on the East side of Manhattan from 14th St down to Houston (same as street zero) which borders the LES (Lower East Side). Tompkins Square Park is 2 blocks away.


The East Village offers over 400 restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping along with a beautiful Tompkins Square Park which has a few playgrounds for kids, basketball courts, dog run and plenty of benches and grassy areas to relax and catch some sun. You can walk to Indian, Russian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vegetarian and American restaurants within a 5 block radius. If you're too tired and beat up from touring NYC and don't feel like going anywhere, you can simply order in and have anything delivered to the apartment (usually until 11 pm or midnight). Just about all of these privately owned restaurants are MUCH better than midtown/tourist-trap food chain restaurants that over charge for mediocre food and drinks. There are at least three 24/hr places to eat within 2 blocks. About 90% of the buildings in the area are walk-ups and this has an elevator. There are about 50 restaurant/bars/cafe's within a 3 block radius and probably 500 within a 10 block radius, along with shopping and Union Square is only a 10 minute walk.

Getting around:


Times Square (City Center) is about a 30 minute walk or 10-15 mins by subway.


Empire State Building is 20 minute walk or quick subway or taxi.


Downtown (Freedom Tower, Statue of Liberty, Wall St., etc.) is a quick 15-20 minute subway ride or 45 minute walk, or 20-30 minute bus ride.


Central Park is about 15 minutes by subway.


The closest subway (L train) is 2 blocks away (2 minute walk) that brings you to Union Square (2 quick stops) to catch any other line to get anywhere else in NYC or to Brooklyn (Williamsburg) is a quick 8 minute ride and one stop away.


There is a Bus on the corner, which is less than a minute walk.


And you can get a taxi pretty much any time on my block in front of the front door within a few minutes.


Personally, I recommend walking to your destination, as it takes 20-45 minutes to get anywhere in NYC, FROM anywhere in NYC whether you walk, take a subway, taxi or bus. Plus you get to see cool things along the way by walking. If you're tired, take a taxi back home.


As the Subway is so close, it's really only worth it for long trips (UWS, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island) as you could probably walk to your destination in less time if you account for waiting for the train, going under/above ground with the crowds, etc..


Other Things to Note


Outdoor space is a RARE and unique trait that any NYC apartment may have. Of course, this is reflected in the rent + operating/maintenance costs and the price to you. Please do not try and chisel down on the price. It is NON-NEGOTIABLE.




ADDITIONAL INFO / CHARGES:

For stays of more than 7 nights, a $ 100 cleaning fee is required at check in and house cleaner will come after 7th night to clean apartme and do laundry (sheets + towels), you can pay her an additional $ 20 to do your laundry.

The apartment has 2 very comfortable queen beds (memory foam mattresses!), and a raised air bed (same height as beds, not flimsy thin air mattress) can be provided for an additional person. There is a sofa (fold out bed, very comfortable!), love seat, kitchen table/stools, 55" HDTV with every possible cable channel, WiFi internet..

Linens and towels: Clean when you arrive. If you wish to clean sheets while you are here, there is a coin-operated laundry room in the basement to do yourself. For stays of 7 nights or more, sheets and towels will be picked up and laundered for you at no additional charge.

Continental Breakfast: Included in price.

Coffee, Tea, Juice, Milk, Pastries or Bagels, Cereal, Eggs, Cheese, Meats, whatever (within reason, no Caviar or Lox!).
