The location is definitely the highlight, and communicating with the host was easy and replies were timely. The apartment needs a tea towel for drying the dishes but otherwise was as expected and a great place to stay while visiting New York City. Would recommend Nimrod as a host and the apartment.

The apt was just what I need it! Clean, with VERY good location, super close to the Subway, lots of pubs and food near the place, just great!. The host was very friendly and willing to help what ever we need it! I recommend this place a lot! Next time I come back to NY, hope to stay at the same place

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 71 east 2nd St. Loved the atmosphere of the East Village and apartment was clean and comfortable. Nimrod was very helpful and no problems occurred. Weather was extremely hot but apartment was a cool haven. Maree

After some communication issues when getting the key everything worked out fine. A warning for those of you with kids, it is tricky to carry everything up and down, the stairs are narrow. Overall, since the check in worked (after some tweeking), if you don't mind stairs, the location is great and the apartment ok.

The apartment is value for money in a great area of New York. Besides the location its best aspect is its quietness - having stayed in noisy places in this noisy city before, a quiet apartment after a day on the streets was greatly appreciated. The apartment is a good size for two people and has a relaxed feel, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is well lit with natural sunlight but the curtains are not sufficient for a good sleep in. Those who want to sleep in might need eye masks, but this wasn't an issue for me. Neither were the several flights of stairs to access the room. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Good communication with host, close to metro (2nd avenue), food (whole foods at 2 min), bars, restaurants, delis, shopping (broadway) in a quiet area. Even possible to sleep with opened window, the studio is not too small, bed linen & towels were fully clean. Very good value for the price.

Nimrod was a great host. The studio was fine but could use a little more style but great location and Nimrod was always there when we needed to contact him. In contrast Roomorama once they had our money did not contact us at all when we wanted to change dates or needed to speak with them. Prior to handing over the dough they were very prompt with replying once they had our money they did not attempt to contact us despite repeated phone and email requests. Nimrod was terrific.

Pros: This is a great location in the most interesting area (east village) in NY. It is also fairly quiet. Cons: You will need a lesson to open the door of the building with a key that works half the time (Nimrod was not there, so i had to ask at a neighbor!!!). Cleanliness is relative (dirty walls around the kitchen, floor of the bathroom, the bed smells ... well equipped kitchen but no coffee machine, no cloth to dry the dishes. It's also a poorly heated apartment (November), Very cold. Also, there' no balcony, only an emergency exit
