Located in the geographical center of Lisbon, Alcântara is the best place to explore the city.
The flat is located in a typical Lisbon hill, with a great panoramic view towards the Alcântara valley; a Palace (Palácio das Necessidades) and a garden that used to be a old Royal Hunting Ground.
The flat has three rooms, each with a double bed. All bed clothes are provided.

Living room with flat screen tv, dvd's and dvd reader, several cd's of different musical styles and cd/radio player; several classic and modern books in english and also some traditional games.
One bathroom traditionally furnished including a bathtub and a bidet. Towels are provided.

In short walking distance from the flat you can visit the National Museum of Ancient Art, with its huge collection of paintings, sculptures and other fine arts. Nearby there's also a Palace (Palácio das Necessidades) and Royal hunting ground (Tapada das necessidades) with its classic garden and buildings and a belvedere with a magnificent view towards the Tagus River
Cross Street is very quiet, but with just a 5 minute walk you can reach the riverside where you can find many bars, restaurants and discos, always bustling with life.
Very near passes one of the major streets of the city with several public transportation options.
If you catch a bus or tram directed west, in 10 minutes you'll reach the Belém area (UNESCO World Heritage Site), with the beautiful Monastery of the Hieronymites (Jerónimos Monastery), the Belém Tower and, most famous of all, the Belém egg tarts shop (!), among other incredible places.
If you choose to go the opposite direction, due east, in 10 minutes you'll be in the great Lisbon Plaza (Praça do Comércio) and near the many downtown shops and lively surroundings. From there you can easily reach the old Moorish neighborhoods of Alfama, the Castle and others, with its world famous winding streets, typical architecture and sights over the Tagus river. This area is also the best place to enjoy Fado music (UNESCO World's Intangible Cultural Heritage).
Near the riverside, just 5 minutes walking from the flat, passes the train to the gorgeous town of Cascais and, after a 25 minute idyllic voyage always accompanied by the river, you'll be in its world class beaches surrounded by palaces.
Right in front of the flat there is another railway line that, in 45 minutes, can take you to the beautiful city of Sintra (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and from there you can hike trough the romantic forests and palaces of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
