We had such a great time! We became attached to the house in just the three short days we were there. We wished we had brought more food with us on the first day so we didn't need to make a trip back into town by bus, but it didn't bother us. It would have been great to have a map of the immediate area to know where there were places with sidewalks so we could take walks (although it was pretty hot to be outside!).
Thanks to Guido.... a very fine host that answered our questions and was always available.
This "apartment" was really a very lovely townhouse, complete with enclosed garden. It was clean, comfortable, extremely quiet, adorably decorated, and well appointed. We loved every minute we stayed there, and we were there during the winter, when it rained constantly! During sunnier months, it would be just fabulous. It was somewhat outside the Old Town of Florence, but taking the bus into town was easy. And to top it all, the host was charming.
