Livingroom -> Such beautiful view , amazing with the summer , nice tv , nice couch ... Oh Gosh we spend most of the time watching the boats with a wine at the window :D Location -> Nice grocery store , great bakery , cool restaurants , supermarket , very well situated , walk distance to the center , with the bikes makes everything close , Tram behind the Apart , faster to bring to central station or to the Airport . Hoster -> Very nice & patient , kind to us ! help us to make a police report ( we had our laptop stolen at the park ..We had a little to few marijuana :D ) he show us the way in amsterdam , cool spots with less tourist , we have been using the bikes all the time , we ll be back in February , we cant wait to be there :D For these = 2 Negative View ? Hello All, Your host has an exceptional facility. It was more than spacious and could easily accomadate another one person. The facility fells like home and guest has access to kitchen, living room, ext. Ext. This place is located near walking distance of Ann Frank house and the Hieneken brew house (definetly worth seeing) and has easy acess to downtown Amsterdam by train with pick up about 20min. I would highly recomend this place, as you would be delightfuly surprise not only to the apartment but by the gracious host. Rodrigo has been an excellent host to me and my firends and even helped us make a train reservations. Book now.

We really enjoyed our stay at the amstelkade apartment. Located in Oud-Zuid very near to the De Pijp area, it is in a fantastic neighborhood with lots of cool cafes, restaurants, bars well within walking distance. Plus the tram is a block away which can get you to central Amsterdam in 20 minutes. The train station is also close by for trips out of town (we took a side trip to the La Trappe monastery and Trappist brewery in Tilbourg). Rodrigo's reviews are spot on as he is a charming and gracious host who meets you personally upon arrival and orients you to the area and city. He was also readily available to replace a light and other small items that needed attention during our 1 week stay. The apartment itself is clean and well maintained and there all the necessary provisions one would need (well stocked kitchen, ironing board/iron, blow dryer, etc.). The place is right on the canal with lovely views from the living room (the cherry blossoms were in full bloom with boats and rowers out in force on the canal!) and a tranquil garden view from the back balcony. Finally, I was there on business and my company colleagues all stayed at a 5 star hotel nearby (Okura) but I would argue the experience my wife, son and I gained from staying in the apartment far surpassed the artificial hotel experience in terms of what it's actually like to live in Amsterdam. If you go, please do rent bikes as it's by far the best way to see the city (or by foot). We took only 1 taxi the entire week!

Rodrigo is welcoming, available and full of good advice. The apartment is comfortable and easily accessible from all interesting sites. We really enjoy our 4 days in Amsterdam :)

This apartment is more than I expected. The living room is in front of a canal. The bedroom is cozy and the toilet is clean. Rodrigo is friendly and show us around. If I have the chance to visit amsterdam again, I will choose the apartment again without hesitation.

The apartment was precisely what we needed: living room w/dining area, kitchen and bedroom. Our host Rodrigo was amazing. When we arrived he took us shopping for fruits and vegetables and gave us great advice about how to get around town and where to buy various things. More than once he picked up something we needed and dropped it off while we were out . The apartment is on one of the canals in a quiet part of town. Buses , though are around the corner and one can get quickly pretty much anywhere in Amsterdam.

The place was great! It was clean, easy to get anywhere we wanted to go, and convenient for all our needs. Rodrigo is a wonderful host! He made us feel comfortable and welcome...we highly recommend it, and will definitely return!

The apartment was very nice, very well situated, with an exceptional view over the canal and all the amenities to make us feel "at home". Rodrigo was a great help, always available for all eventualities and to the fact that I have a broken foot, on the 3rd day of stay, until released to return the wheelchair in the meantime we had to rent. Place to repeat and to recommend! We thank you for everything! Isabel

Rodrogo's apartment is more than we hoped it would be: convenient, clean, inexpensive, and close to the tram. Rodrigo met us at the Central Station and helped us make our way to the apartment. There is treated us like friends: helped with the area, and even came with us to buy groceries. When I revisit Amsterdam I will definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rodrigo;s property and he went above and beyond for our comfort. The apartment is ideally located in a great neighborhood overlooking a canal and within easy walking distance of restuarants, grocery store,a great bakery and the tram service. We would definitely stay at this property again should future travel plans include a return visit to Amsterdam.

Thank you very much for your comment because it has given me the truth of what happened. First of all, we would really appreciate that you address everyone with respect and courtesy and avoid fortuneless comments. One of the main reasons we decided to stay in an apartment was to have kitchen. I think nobody likes to pay for having mice in their stay. So please, if you want to keep this business renting your apartment, we recommend you to make a good disinfection of the property to ensure the extermination of these creatures. The property was not clean and there is some old furniture in very poor condition, the windows are full of spiders and cobwebs and inside the apartment there are spiders everywhere another sign of poor cleanness. The shower accessories are rusted and the first night the handle of the light was broken BUT on the other hand we can say that the sheets and towels were clean. The only positive thing is the situation of the apartment: is located in a very nice area and close to the city centre.

The location was OK. We couldn´t use the closet beacuse it was locked with things of the owner. The refrigerator was also with food of the owner. We only have a few drawers available. He told us that to avoid RATS we shouldn´t left food around so we never cooked at the apartment. The door of the bathroom doesn´t close. When doing the check out and discussing about a problem we had with a light switcher he told us that he ENETERD EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR STAY (3 DAYS) TO THE APARTMENT TO LOOK AROUND!!! we couldn´t believe it, I mean was he also using the apartment while we were out??was he spying on us???!!!did he went through our staff??? He told us it was completly normal to do that (first he said that he enter to pick up his letters, and then he admitedd that he entered every single day to look arpund and that we shouldn´t be annoyed because it´s normal!).....I don´t think so....and when discussing this and the problem with the light swither he was really mad, rude and managed really bad manners, I don´t understand why because we never refused to pay him. It was the first time I have and experience like this. I rented apartments in differents countries in europe and never had and experience like that. I wouldn´t recomend this apartment at all!!!
